I contacted Nokia online sales support to see if I could get a response on when the N770 should be available. To my surprise this is what they answered:

Dear Sir,. Thank you for contacting Nokia Online Sales Support Center. Nokia 770 Internet tablet will be available mid November, Please have a look at the website regularly.
